About Us

Digital Credit Union - Homepage

DCU's vision is that all members achieve their financial goals. We believe that unbiased, detailed consumer education is essential for you to achieve your financial goals. Why are we different? Read it here.

If you're like us, one thing you hate is looking like a fool--to either your friends or any adults. And although you may not know it yet, lots of adults and businesses make fools of people our age. A lot of businesses even make a lot of money making fools of us.

Show Me is about helping to make you fool proof. It gives you a heads-up on the real world as you head to college or a job.

We developed this--and we're not much older than you. So, we wanted to make it interesting and real.

So, this is what we've done:

First, everything you read here is real. Every example in Show Me is about a real young person who was taken advantage of or who did something right. Sometimes the kids who got taken were at fault. They didn't listen or know any better. Or worse, they didn't care. Sometimes the businesses were at fault.

The free enterprise system is a great thing, but it doesn't protect you: it allows business to sell you, whether or not you should be buying. You better learn that lesson right now.

Second, if you're smart, you're going to be scared by some of the stuff we're going to show you. Why? Because it's so easy to mess up when it comes to money. Starting right now, everything you do financially--both good and bad--is going to follow you for the rest of your life. Literally. Little mistakes now can create huge, long-term problems.

For instance, you're going to get a lot of free credit card offers real soon. Nice! Trouble is, most students and young adults get too many cards. They ruin their credit for years because they don't know how to manage credit cards. We show you how.

Third, we're going to cover some simple topics that will have a huge impact on the quality of your life. If you care about freedom, and being able to do what you want in life, you must have one thing: good credit. You don't have to be rich to live a kickin' life, but you do have to be credit-worthy. Even if you have no credit and no money, carefully building credit now and saving regularly (even a small amount) can change your life.

Fourth, we're going to give you the lowdown on fine things-like free phone calls, free (and legal) software downloads. Every few weeks we'll post new stories.

So jump in! And don't forget to tell us what you think.

Regards,

Craig & Will
